Replace with new wire and replaced with new ignition switch. I have checked all wires to make sure that there are no melted wires. You turn the truck on alternator works and runs fine but it will not turn the truck off when you turn the key. If you take the wire off the ignition swithch to the altenator it will shut off. Do you think the alternator is backing feeding through the wire? Is wire from ignition switch feeding the alternator?

Look for a slight bump in the wire. Don't know if it's still good or not. Try rewiring it in and see what happens. Hopefully you didn't throw the old one away yet. If ya did, Patricks has em for ya. | | |
