Are there any limitations with the years I can use to be able to bolt right up to my 46 4 speed. Any thing else I need to look out for. I have an engine I may try to use but it may be beyond even rebuilding. Otherwise I will be looking. Jim

There are several good 216 to 235 swap articles on the net that explain it pretty well. In your case, it should be a straight bolt in job.

Bedides, going to a newer engine, the pilot hole would be bigger than needed,if anything,so you might need to make a shim to fit around the front seal retainer on your stock tranny, and to fit the inside diameter of the newer bellhousing.I'd have it cut to be a tight fit onto the seal retainer, and install it with a little red Loctite. While you're in there, why not replace the front seal;cheap insurance, might save a clutch.
