YEEPEE ~ YAHOO she runs! about 10 minutes last night. looking for leaks just one under the dizzie. WE brought
another one back to life.
I can't turn her off though. I have to recheck the hot side to the coil wire ???. I have to choke it to kill her. The por-20 blistered
on the exhaust headers. That was our big smell & my dissapointment in the product.
but after 5 years.
SHE RUNS, sounds good, I need to ask the builder about cam timing. she sure likes 40 degrees

It's a brilliant feeling when ya fire up for the first time!

I'm a bit surprised about the Por-20 though, I've been running mine for 15/20 mins at a time with no major problems regarding blistering.
That's with tube type headers that get pretty dang hot!
I should know...I managed to touch a pipe the other night. DUH!!!
BTW That's the first time i've seen of the 'Vinny'..She's a beauty!!

SO - does a big 292 with headers sound like a 235 with Fentons?
I've never heard one with duals but I'm curious about that. Someone told me they didn't but with the 3+3 and same firing order I don't know why they would sound different.

l was trying to remember what she sounded like but i was too worried about will it all work, is my wiring harness going to fry, the oil pressure, fan kickin' on when it's supposed to, leaks of all kinds smoke, burning paint the (por20) etc. then she would not turn off in the normal sense..... the key. Let me get her going cause that's one reason I built her this way.

Waldo, a 292 with two exhausts, whether headers or a split manifold has the exact same sound as a 235 with the same exhaust condition. I know, my 292 sounds like that only with the cam it sounds much meaner. My Grandson has a 250 with Clifford headers and it has the same sound. Firing order the same and 3 and 3 exhaust all will sound alike, even a F**d. There is no better music to the ears than a 6 with duals.
