Hi bolters, Can anyone tell me if I can run 235/75 R15 on my 1952 GMC? It has 205/75R15's now. Not stock wheels. Will I have clearance enough?.....As the truck is pretty much stock otherwise. Many Thanks.......... ohwell

Bout time to do some measuring.Check to see how much clearance you have now with the 205s.Then talk with your tire dealer ,he should be able to give you the measurements of the 205s and the 235s.On my 55 I am running 215s on the front and 235s on the rear.I had to get wheels with 5 inch back spacing for the rear, due to the wider tires.Wheels on front are 7 in.wide and 8 in.wide on the rear.

don't forget on the back to allow for heat at speed and load expansion.

Yes, they will fit just fine. A 235/75/15 comes out to a9.3' section width and a 28.9" overall diameter. Those dimensions can vary by manufacturer. As long as you use the correct backspace wheels (3 1/2") you should be fine.
