Does anyone have any information on Mallory carburetors? I have a couple. One is a model F and the other is a model A. I have only talked to one other person about these carbs and he wasn't to enthused. Anyway, I just thought it would be interesting to get one up an running and try it on my '53 3100. If anyone has any of these carbs I might be interested in buying one. Preferably the model A.

I have a mallory ignition, but never a carburetor.

My guess would be that it might be some sort of pre-war ford application. Mallory made alot of stuff for ford in the early days.

Mallory made a number of different models of carburetor; the model F is the most common. Strictly A/M. Sold through such sterling establishments as J.C. Whitney, etc. to those individuals too frugal to purchase a rebuilding kit for their original carb.

Somewhere, I have some original Mallory literature. I believe they offered A/M models for Chevrolet, Ford, and Plymouth in the late 1930's and 1940's.

We have several, fully restored. I once thought they would sell to the guys building nostalgic hotrods with multiple carbs. So far, have sold one only, to a friend who used it to finagle a Mallory dealership when Mallory put together a mini-museum. I probably have more in the restoration costs (plating, machining of parts, etc.) than the stuff is worth.

Since I have always believed honesty is the best policy; I will sell you one if you wish. However, it is my opinion you would be better off with a Rochester B with about 3 million miles on it (and you all know how well I like the Rochester B ☺ ).

Alittle off the subject but, in your opinion, are the monojet carbs any "good"/ I have two 67 vintage from 250 chevy engines. Was considering a replacement for the "B's" on a 235, 55 2nd and 57 vintages. What say you sir?

The Monojet didn't come out till 68. It is a real good carb. but ive never tried one on the older engines. It could be a problem because most had the choke heater on the manifold & manual chokes were pretty rare on them. Thats all I can help till Carbking comes back.
