I put the valve cover on the gasket with NO gasket sealer (so I could remove it to adjust valves). I had to drive the truck several times and each time, after the engine heated up. I turn the nuts on the cover to pull it down tighter and tighter. Finally, after about five-seven times, it quit leaking. By tightening the cover, I eventually made a deep enough groove in the cover to cause it to seal! I know it's not very scientific, but it worked for me. Try it! Joe

Put it on a flat surface and go around it with a piece of paper or feeler gage to see if there any gaps between the bottom edge and the flat surface. I have a Waynes valve cover on mine and had to take to a machine shop to have them sand it flat along the bottom edge. It cost about 10 bucks, but it works great now. Good luck George | | |

If that's the case, get two of the thick gaskets, Felpro makes them. Overlay them and cut each side with a razor blade. Best sealant I've found is 3M Weatherstrip Adhesive, just follow the instructions.
