I need to verify the model number of my carb to order a rebuild kit. Where do I find the necessary numbers? Are there numbers on the carb? Slim.

Well slim if it is a orginal carb. from GM it had a tag on one of the top carb. screws. What brand is the carb Rodchester,Carter etc. You will have numbers on the carb that look like this

Foot Note Idle speed for the M/T trans.450 to 500 RPM AT Trans 425 to 500 RPM

#7024000,001
7023004.005

This carb was used on 1957 to 1967 engines 230,235,250 cu. engines

If it's got the original Roch. carb it's like Don says. There was a tag under one of the top cover screws but most of the time they are gone by now. You can get a kit by aplication because one number covers a wide range. If it has a carter the number is stamped in the fuel bowl or throttle body.

They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. Same thing.
