The carb has been adjusted every which way you can think of and it still wont go below 1100. Also if it has run for a bit and you turn it off it still trys to run. Any ideas?

You're likely getting gas leaking through the carb where/when it shouldn't. Rebuild or replace the carb, check the advance, and make sure all the vacuum lines are closed.
When was the last time you changed the fuel filter?

If the engine is running to hot and lean from a vacuum leak it will "diesel" when shut off. Also check throttle plate inside the carb to see if it IS closing all the way...

Will check the throttle plate and post back. | | | | | Joined: Sep 2003 Posts: 82 Member | | Member Joined: Sep 2003 Posts: 82 | Ok heres the latest. I checked all of the hoses and found no problems. I found a bottle of carb cleaner and gave it 2-3 shots. Waited 10 minutes, fired it up and after it warmed up then it started to die on me. A quick adjust of the idle and she is sitting nicely at 750-800. Whod of thunk it
