They come with a flare fitting like a fuel line, and I need a brass flare fitting.
The filter is an original AC and the line has a part # of FT17.
It is on a 1951 216 engine,

Your best best is to bring the hoses and canister to the store and have them match-up the fittings.
Do you need an adapter that has a T fitting for the oil pressure line (usually where the right-side hose goes into the block)?

| | | | | Joined: May 2006 Posts: 8,351 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: May 2006 Posts: 8,351 | The lines should have an 1/8" NPT fitting on one end, and a flare fitting on the other. The reason is so that the line can be hooked up without having to twist the hose at least on one end. Your engine should have had the adapter fittings (one for each line) either on the block (that's where I've usually seen them) or on the filter housing itself. If you don't have it, then a trip to flaps is in order. Check out their brake line adapter fittings. Should be a 1/4" inverted flare x 1/8" NPT male fitting.
