I like the look of those aftermarket tilt columns but not the price. I live with in miles of a large U-Pull-It yard that has thousands of cars and trucks of every make, mainly 80's to late 90's/early 2000's. I went today looking at what could be used and seen a few that may work, but would like to see what everyone else is using in their trucks. | | | | | Joined: Feb 2006 Posts: 649 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Feb 2006 Posts: 649 | I used a column out of 89 S-10 Blazer with tilt. Really steering columns are real easy to fabricate. If you can't find a short one out of a 70's chevy van, you can shorten just about anything. All you need is a couple of universal joints and line it up. When I stubbed my truck with a Nova subframe I just cut a new hole in the floor to line up the steering gear and column.
