Then turn the key on. If the gauge pegs to full, it is OK. If the gauge does nothing, it is most likely bad.

It will have no power, and no grounding from the sending unit either, but if you have connected it, right, it should do something. | | | | | Joined: May 2006 Posts: 8,351 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: May 2006 Posts: 8,351 | Since it's had an aftermarket guage added (most likely because the original quit working) there is a good chance you'll need a new sending unit as well. The aftermarket one may not be calibrated properly for use with the OE style gauge.
