My 261 has two ports near the oil line that feeds the external oil filter. One is a 1/4" the other is a 1/2". I'm not sure if they are on a common gallery or different/ I would suspect that the 1/4" pot is the proper choice. Anyone KNOW for sure is intended for the oil pressure gauge?

You can tee off the 1/2" NPT fitting from the lower port that feeds your filter. You can mount a gauge next to the block if you want. The 1/4" hole is plugged on my 261.

The smaller port (1/8" NPT) is a port that drains to the sump. This port would only be used for the old bypass filter.

I connected my oil pressure gauge to a port near the front of the engine. Between the generator and the block is a 1/8" NPT plug that is common to the galley that feeds the main bearings.
