Is compression test done hot or cold? If hot run engine for how long before test. Also my compression tester has a rubber gasket if hot it might melt.
Thanks in advance.
Adios, Kip

Compression tests are done hot, that is with about 10 minutes run time on engine. I just completed tests on my 235. The rubber gasket did not have any problems. Remove all spark plugs, open carberator choke and trottle valves and be sure to turn the engine four revolutions. The fourth will build to give you the maximum compression.
