But your the one interested, not me...so you really need to ask yourself what's it worth to you? Good luck! Pictures not the best, can't tell if it's got duals in back, or even if all the wheels are there. Lots of coolness there, no doubt a seriously tough truck.
I doubt you'd ever get a running plow that size for less than $2500, but seems unlikely that you'd get too much cash out of it if you wanted to sell it down the road. There will undoubtedly be maintenance & repair issues, as on ANY old truck. In other words, don't expect to make money on the truck.
Now, making money WITH the truck, that's a whole 'nother subject . . .

My concern is that plow is so big and weighs so much it can't be on a hydraulic lift which means it would be dragging the ground all the time. | | | | Joined: Mar 2004 Posts: 3,068 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2004 Posts: 3,068 | This huge plow is hydraulically lifted without any problems. I tried to move it with a tractor and loader but as soon as the loader lifted it off the ground, the rears lost traction. But they work like they're supposed to on trucks. That seems to say that it is not dragging the ground all the time. | | | | Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 719 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 719 | With a split plow like that, if it did drag you'd have to drive it backwards all the time or dig it in. The outside rear tires are missing, and he says the rubber is old, so add another 10-15 hundred bucks on top of the purchase price. If it's only been 2 years since it was driven and was restored prior to that, sounds like it would be a good buy overall. Regardless, I can think of a load of places up in our local mountains where the locals would pay you to clear thier driveways and access roads in the winter. So if you live someplace where it would be useful it's a decent idea. The rest of the year tho, it's jus plain cool! 1956 GMC 370 dump " 'Tater "1970 VW Volksrod "the Black Bomber" 2007 Chevy Avalanche 2020 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk, 2005 Harley Davidson FLHTCUI I dig all cars, old and new, whether they were hammered out of American iron, German steel, or Japanese tin cans. Being unable to appreciate them all is missing out on a world of great things. But thats just MY opinion! :P

I would would have taken the plow blade off and used the truck for utility purposes around my place. I'll keep looking around. Thanks Again!! | | | | Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 684 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 684 | Looks like it was bid up to $917.00 and didn't meet reserve. It may be back. | | | | Joined: Dec 2007 Posts: 1,403 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: Dec 2007 Posts: 1,403 | The reserve was $1500 but flexible. But I doubt that almost $600 less is "flexible." | | |
