1958GMCnut Shop Shark Joined: Mar 2007 Posts: 863 Langley BC Canada	I finally got a rebuilt carb for the 1956 1 1/2 ton Dumptruck. and with a few fittings to eliminate a crusty fuel bowl filter, and bypassing the rude fuel in the tank by plumbing a boat daytank to the fuel pump....She fired right up after 5 seconds of cranking!!!! she purrs!!!!!, no clanks, grinds, or clatter!!! The dump works fine as well even with a iffy clutch.... next thing is to unload her off the trailer after I fix a leaking fuel pump....and I fixing to drive her a little...(NO BRAKES!!!) should be interesting...... The one that Mike left here works every time and never needs replacement... then again you may have some momentum up going downhill like that... you might want to put a few quartered logs (the aforementioned redneck brakes) behind the path of the truck's wheels to run into...
