Factory is direct from sender to gauge. The sender is a variable resistor to ground. Resistance is determined by float level in the gas tank.

| | | | | Joined: May 2005 Posts: 1,624 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: May 2005 Posts: 1,624 | I agree with LGriffin. I have never seen the wire to the fuel level sender sent thru a fuse panel as there is no need for it. The 12 or 6 volt feed to the gauge is another matter.

If my poor old memory serves me, the gauge to sender wire does go to the fuse box, but only as a 'dumb' connection point...not through a fuse!

also, hooked up my speedometer and it gets a little shaky whenever the transmission switches gears and then finally levels out. any way to fix this?
and also just so you guys know, these gauges were purchased from another bolter, so there are no instructions along with it. | | |
