I recently bought a 59 Apache and it is missing 2 items on the dash. One was a rectangular opening just left of the glove box. I'm assuming its the ashtray. The other item is a missing knob just above the radio on the passengers side of the dash. Is there a book that anyone can recommend for reference on restoring Apaches?

The hole next to the glovebox is for the heater controls.

Without going out in the pasture in the dark, I can't tell you about the missing knob. I'm guessing choke and throttle go there.

A factory service manual reprint is a must. You'll need a '58 manual and a '59 supplement.

Thanks for that info. I looked around and found the 59 supplement but couldn't find anything on the 58 service manual. Do you have any links.
