I have heard from several people but not anyone that has done it. Is it possible to swap a 73-87 front suspension from a 2wd frame to a 64-66 2wd frame? I know anything is possible but I have heard this is basically a complete bolt on upgrade but I dont want to tear into this project until I get a little more information. Anybody done it or know anything about it? I did a search for this but I couldnt find anything.

Yep. I've done it. Visit my website; I chronicled the swap. I used a '75. If you can, stay below '83; that's when they started using metric stuff I think.

I've done it as well. I put a '73 front in a '66 short bed that I had at the time. I took the new front end completely apart and replaced all the worn out bushings, ball joints and tie rod ends. Once everything was rebuilt and installed, it was almost like having power steering.
I also put in a '78 Monza booster/master cylnder at the same time.

Thanks guys! Bkndsdl, that is exactly what I was looking for. How is the project coming? My '60 has some sentimental value too. It has been in my family for about 25 years and now I am restoring it now.

Glad I could help! Any questions, let me know.

It's coming along just nicely. I was able to get it on all fours the 4th of July weekend. I just sent Peg some updated pics; hope to see it in the gallery soon.
