It will fit perfect in your 66 if you already have a v-8. The last one I put in a 56. Ran beautiful. Most large cities have a dealer that specialises in them & has the best price. You can call around. Try to find a source were you can pick it up or have it delivered as shipping is very expensive. We use Superior Chev. in the K.C. area. They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. Same thing. 1972 Chevy c10 Cheyenne SuperIn the Gallery Forum

I used to work at that ice rink. Ya might try doing a search of the forums for "crate motor" and stuff like that. There's been threads about this. Recently there was one with some links as I recall. One was a pretty good bang for the buck. -David Kustoms-and-Sleds

Amen to Superior Chevrolet!!! Their Performance Center at the dealership is awesome, especially if you like to look at what you are buying before purchasing. Some of the auto parts suppliers are teaming up with some of the performance product manufacturers and supplying crate motors. Edelbrock also offers a new crate motor in many displacements.

You might also check out Summit Racing and Jasper for your crate motor needs.
