#42752 06/26/2002 4:52 AM | Joined: Feb 2001 Posts: 40 Member | | Member Joined: Feb 2001 Posts: 40 | I ran a stock '41 radiator in my '38 for several years and only had trouble with overheating when I would run 80+ mph in 80+temps for several miles . If I got onto a slower highway it would cool down . I ran a small flex fan because the motor sat low/lower radiator hose outlet. And no pressure on the system . no shroud on the fan . I now have a new afco aluminum rad. and electric fan , moroso aluminum water pump . hope to try this combo yet this year. I would go ahead and try the recored radiator- might save you a bunch of bucks ! | | |
