Dad's been gone a couple years so can't help me. He always said it was an early 54 235, of the low pressure type. Is this possible? Would this have inserts or babbits? How can I tell? Any other insight would be greatly appreciated! | | |

It may be behind the starter , or below the dist.

It's a 3835911 casting, and the f54 you referenced is there. What more can be determined, and what is inside this baby? Dad's info seems accurate in that it is an early 54 model. Babbits or inserts, worth using or not?

Dad had a verrrry fussy and precise craftsman rebiuld it decades ago, only to sit unused. His investment will someday be the pride of my truck for what I hope is a long time.
