Be sure to try your prospective new wheel on the REAR;on my '62 one ton I couldn't use 16 inchers on the back because they wouldn't fit over my brake drums-not even with spacers. I was SO bummed! fortunately,my 17.5's had lots of tread left-I wanted to replace 'em mainly because they were weather checked pretty bad on the sidewalls, but they held up fine, never failed me,in spite of plenty of good reasons to blow out.(250 miles of 70 mph fully loaded, hauling a load of old engine longblocks approx. 7 feet wide,8 feet long, and 2 engines high,21,131 lbs))
