Not all Rockwell axles are top loaders, I have seen many Rockwell front axles like yours, not counting the hubs though.
Is there a tag on the inside of the glove box door? if so it should tell you lots if info about the different components of the drive-train.

Does it give the axle ratio or ratios on the tag?

I have a 62 W5000 NAPCO, it has Rockwell axles, HHDHDX2 for the front-rear and HHRHDX1 for the rear-rear. My front axle looks like it was built with an Eaton center section. Transfer case is a Rockwell.
