Seein' as how I live about 20 minutes away, I was glad to go meet up with Him and Ol' Blue. We both jumped in and took him for a spin through cool tree lined streets, stopped in at Zimmerhanzel's Bar-B-Que, and had a sampling of their best. Then we hopped back in Ol' Blue, headed to the lot, and waited for his transport to arrive. The driver was kind enough to snap off a picture for y'all, too. Enjoy! | | | | Joined: Dec 2007 Posts: 1,403 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: Dec 2007 Posts: 1,403 | Looks like you guys had fun. The transport company should have used Ol' Blue's Grandson to haul him though. | | | | Joined: Jan 2001 Posts: 332 Big Bolt Shop Curmudgeon | Big Bolt Shop Curmudgeon Joined: Jan 2001 Posts: 332 | We did have a great time. It is getting very warm now, and just sitting in the truck waiting for the hauler, well, it was hot, but there was a breeze. What more can you hope for in Texas in the spring.
The truck is home without incident, and happily occupying his place on the driveway.
Drivin' down a 2 lane country road in a stovebolt.....cowboy, it don't get no better than this!

The interior is so complete, I regret not taking a few more pics. Feel free to stop on by the next time you're in the area. | | | | Joined: Feb 2008 Posts: 829 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: Feb 2008 Posts: 829 | I just read that The Tree of Life won top honors at the Cannes Film Festival. It is supposed to open Friday in the U.S. I bet it was "Old Blue" that helped them win. Congratulations Glenn! | | |
