I started buy making a firewall cover out of double sided bubble wrap sandwiched between two layers of jute padding. The floor has jute padding & a tar like sound deadener. I also used the insulation on the rear of the cab and covered it as well. The whole thing was carpeted and it turned out pretty good. BeforeInsulationCarpetRear cabDrivers side

I used this to help block out some of the heat and regular heavy duty padding (donated by the Sahara Casino ) to help block out the noise. I got some the auto carpet from checkers auto but I didn't like that at all (too cheap) you could see through it it some spots ! So I went to Home Depot and found some real nice indoor/outdoor grey carpet that should work out great. Do your passengers have to take off their shoes to ride in it?
That bubble wrap stuff: what is it generally used for? Also did you use regular carpet or a molded one for your application..
Must be nice to be at that stage..
best of luck with your ride,

The carpet's not molded. I found it at Orielly's. I was only $11 a roll & it took two rolls to do my floor. I could have chosen more expensive carpet but I'm not building a show truck.

I should have the cab interior painted, the underside coated with bedliner, and ready for wiring, gauges, air, and etc..
