Give Jim Carters a call, he may have some or know where to look or who can have yours relined.
Nice looking truck, much much nicer than mine.

I really like your truck, I like those 1 ton stepsides like yours for some reason. -W p.s. some of the Canadian old truck parts vendors might be able to help you... I think I have 3 or 4 listed here: http://woogeroo.home.mindspring.com/autolinks/trucks/ctgparts.html | | | | | Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 54 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 54 | Always thought my truck was a 3/4 ton 9' long bed, but like you my truck is badged as a 250? I plan on getting the pads resurfaced also, had once heard of ceramic brake pads??? From my truck ID does it match with yours to be sure? Three quarter ton would be a 150. | | | | | Joined: Nov 2000 Posts: 582 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Nov 2000 Posts: 582 | I also have a '49 but a half ton longbed. I like the mirror stand holding the side vent door partly open or closed, whatever. | | | | | Joined: May 2008 Posts: 40 Apprentice | | Apprentice Joined: May 2008 Posts: 40 | Well, finaly an update. I found re-lined shoes, got new front wheel cyl's from Jim Carters. installed all new steel lines, hoses too and a new master cyl. The rear shoes were good and I just put in Kits in the rear cylinders,, which may comeback to bite me as there was some pitting in the center where the cups come together. It was good for a few weeks then I noticed my fluid went down some and one rear wheel wanted to lock up first couple brake applications in the morning.... | | |
