I am going to fabricate a set of stainless steel headers for my GMC 302 straight 6. I manage a tube bending shop, so the bending will be easy, but I am having trouble finding someone that makes a nice stailess steel header collector. I plan on running 1 5/8" diameter tubes off of the engine, then down into a 2 in 1 collector that dumps into my 2" diameter exhaust. Since the 302's have only 4 exhaust ports, I plan on bringing two groups of two, into the collector, then into duel exhaust. Any suggestions to find these off the shelf would be great, otherwise, I will fab them from scratch.

Thanks

Check out Headers by ED . You might get scared of the prices but looks like they have anything you want. I found them by running a ( stainless steel header parts ) search. There were others and I was running out of time so I couldn't look at all of them. Joe

You may want to look at the design of Clifford's headers. They use larger tubes for the middle two ports since they each have two cylinders dumping into them, but the outer ports only have one. Post pics of your design when you are done!

Thanks for the info. Ed's headers is a great site. DOes not look like there is many stovebolters out there doing their own custome exhaust headers. What are good sources for mufflers and what is recommended??
