For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jun 2006 Posts: 204 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jun 2006 Posts: 204 | I was cruising around and came across this site, seems like a credible resource for information on the tool kits. I have been working on collecting mine. Some of this has probably been covered before on here. Chevrolet Jacks and Tools Regards, Mike

He apparently hasn’t found any information on the truck jacks.
Just don’t mention my name, some of the members over at VCCA think that I’m a troublemaker because I question things too much. You must not rock the boat or defy the authority you know? Denny Graham Sandwich, IL

Over the years, I have been able to obtain most of the tools for a 1954 truck tool kit, and a 1/2 ton bottle jack. I'm missing the jack handle and the spark-plug wrench. Here are some photos and tools that I have accumulated over the years. He refers to adding information on "bumper jacks". I wonder if he is interested in the bottle jacks that were part of the truck tool kits at least through the Advance-Design years. Also, Jim Carter's "Factory Tool Bag" comes with scale drawings for the truck tools. I got one style tool bag from JC (with the scale drawings) and I think it looks like "style 1" at my photos/tools link (above). I think I got the other style of bag from Chevy Duty (Classic Parts of America). I cannot find the tool bag now on the CPA website.
Let me know if you want me to post photos of the JC and CPA tool bags.
