Every once in a while, when I hit a big bump in the road, my TH 350 trans jumps out of gear into neutral. Thankfully, I can shift it back into drive without coming to a stop, however, its a little exciting !!. Any thoughts on possible problems / adjustments would be appreciated.
Thanks guys.

A bad motor or transmission mount? That would be my guess when you hit a bump it binds the linkage and kicks it in to neutral.

Ditto on the bad mount. Put a block of wood between the trans pan and a floor jack, and jack up a little. If the tailshaft starts lifting off the crossmember, you've found your problem!

ALso check the detents in the trans. When you move the selecter down on the trans there should be a definite snap as it goes from one selection to another.

They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. Same thing.
