Does anyone know of a part no. for the paper element that can be purchased at my local parts store. I'm getting tired of ordering them from Danchuck. Thanks.

P.S. Glad to see you got it running. I guess that manual choke part worked alright.

Having used the original style filter for 30 years , and had no trouble , I think the broken ones must have been seriously abused . Of course , you choose.

I bought it at a Auto Value store, the lady at the counter said they still carry them because alot of tractors use them.
I have a durex glass bowl filter also but this paper filter won't fit it properly.
Hope this helps. | | |

I have a Carter fuel filter with glass bowl. I found a paper filter at NAPA, part number 3943. Probably about the same size as yours. It works perfectly. Hope this helps.

Andre thanks for the advice, the choke part worked beatifully. I cleaned it and painted it and now I'm on the road. I now have a complete truck carb and choke system on my 55 car. The manual choke really helped my gas milage.
