Found a very cool chrome dash mount repro truck fan. It's been set up with a two speed motor worked by a switch on the fan itself and a wire with the cig lite plug in.
Can this be hard wired?

If you mean to bypass the cigarette lighter plug-in, wiring it directly to the harness, but still operate it using the built in switch the answer is also yes.

I agree with what Tiny has said, but interpret your question a little differently. If the two speed switch is part of the fan/motor, then you would merely take the wire that plugs into the cigarette lighter and wire it into a switched connection somewhere.
Does a '63 have a fuse box? Are there one or two spare tabs that switched ON with the key. Couldn't you stick your fan on one of these.
I would guess you want this thing off when you turn the key OFF. However you decide to do it, make sure you have a proper fuse in the circuit.

I am building a 1962, 283 and have a custom complete wiring harness ( from Brothers )including fuse box. So the fan, conversion to 2 speed wiper set the new cig lighter and a bunch of electrical problem stuff should get sorted out.
