i finally got my motor for my 52 2 ton. i bought this motor (216) with the story of it ran when we pulled it(that was 5 years ago). i had replace the rear main seal, so we torn it totally down to replace everything that was worn. this motor looked new inside, very very little sludge, no wear on the bearings, everything looked great and it seemed to have decent compression. it has never been ovehauled, i was real surprised that it looked so good. now i just need to reassemlbe it and drop it in

i have a 47 1 1/2 ton truck and the original motor was a 235 (babbited) they put the bigger motor in because of the weight and load it was going to haul, but if you do decide to upgrade i would recomend the chevy 292 it'll bolt right up to the original transmission. and to boot its a hot rod!!
