on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Feb 2007 Posts: 31 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Feb 2007 Posts: 31 | I have a 1951 Chev 1/2-ton pickup that has a 350 in it with a muncie 4-speed. I have the smaller clutch/153-tooth flywheel, and changing it to the larger 12-inch clutch and the 168-tooth flywheel, and bell housing as well. Now I have fabricated the old 6-cylinder drive train linkage stuff that works the V8 thats in there now...meaning clutch linkage set-up. What I'd like to know, is there a nicer set-up for linkage change over to the v8 with the stock pedal(s) assembly? Other linkage from...or what else works? The way it is now, is kind of scabbed together, but works fine. But I want to change it right. And I did this back in 1980 when I put in a small block engine. Need help! Got any ideas? Much appreciated it so. Thanks, Diditanole | | | | | Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 1,513 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 1,513 |

Who fabricates these, and sells them? Would like to purchase one if so. Please let me know. And looking at the pic, it looks like it would work fine in my '51 Chev. And yes, it looks clean too. Sweet set-up! Thanks for your help Shop Shark! Much appreciated! ...Diditanole | | | | | Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 1,513 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 1,513 | Who fabricates these, and sells them? I don't think anybody does but it looks like Jim has documented what he did well enough that you could make something similar for your application. Jim, Nice clean engineering and work you've done. Hope you don't mind me posting a link to your pic's. Curt B.

I was kind of shocked to even see that somebody knew what I had done. I think its fun to document these things we are the temporary owners of ''our bolts'' & let other see them who may be so far away. carry on my friend

The clutch linkage set-up (with the "STOCK" foot pedals) to the small-block 350 in my 1951 1/2-ton P/U. I'm hoping that someone would come forward with knowledge of finding one of these. Otherwise, I'll just keep looking. I guess that you could say...wait and see, huh? '''''this was made to fit my vehicle as all ''bolts'' are not the same. ...... The different angles may make it easier to fab one up. made this to work w/ my 292 installed in my 51 3104 ''''' and a T5 hybrid (camaro gutz+S10 housing) tranny, so i could use all stock pedals. also used a mr gasket bell crank for the throttle using the stock pedal to a lokar cable to an edelbrock 500. Along w/ this is an early corvette clutch arm 53-58 only so we could get the clearance we needed because of the location of the 292 in situ.'''''' This fixture may not work w/ your 350 because of different angles. You'll have to fab your own so it fits your bolt.
