I am looking for a two speed rearend instruction decal for the 57 6500 there is a very faint piece on the dash of the original I have plans to make this truck as new as it was when it rolled off the assembly in Janesville. I work for the railroad and this truck has put a new prespective on where things come from we work the GM plant in Doraville Ga. (Atlanta Ga.) its suppose to close this summer I want to take a tour of the plant before then. What happen to the plant in Janesville is it still there or not. Thanks Kip Parham

The 2 spd. axle decal, is different on the '55-'59 Task Force trucks.

I don't believe I have ever seen a decal for the Task Force turcks (55--59) and I own 3 with 2-speed rears. Anyone have one they can take a picture of?

The sticker on my 64 looks just like what Mongo has there the speeds are just a little higher and the lower right corner has the axle ratio in small print neither of my 56 nor my 57 have stickers.

The 2 spd. decal, that was on the '56 Chevy LCF, I had was on the inside sunvisor, had no color to it, & showed a picture of the selector on the gear shift. The one on the '60 Chevy LCF,I had, was pretty close to the same. Both these trucks had electirc 2 spd. rears.

I've actually seen 4 different versions, of the '47-'55 1st series decal. One like the one Mongo has reproduced, another one almost identical to Mongo's, but with a different selector pictured, & two that were like the above, but had a transparent background. I'll try to find some pictures.

My truck has a very light shadow of the decal its on the dash on the center from what I can tell the left looks alot the above replacement decal but the right side shows the gearshift with the 2spd knob Thanks Kip

The decal on my '56 was a simple text instruction stciker on the back of the sun visor. I attempted to reproduce it as close as possible with my printer when I recovered the visor. I believe I still have the test around somewhere.
So far haven't seen anything on the dash, but I haven't gotten to stripping out the old paint & gunk on the dash yet.

I have pictures of a couple in that year range at home, I'll try to track them down tonite and post em.

That would be great I got my factory assembly manual today in the mail from Jim Carter and it shows the decal on the dash it even gives the part # Thanks I hope you can find them Kip Parham
