I am curious about the engines, that were offered in these year model trucks. I limited it to jalf ton to 1 ton because I know some of the two ton truck had much bigger engines. I am just asking for my own enlightenment.

Now, I think some of the 1/2, 3/4 and 1 ton trucks had the same engines options, maybe with different cams? I know there were other diffenrences in the frames/bodies, but I am curiosu as to the egniens, the cubic inches, horsepowe,r doodads, etc.

I'm trying to put together a document on options... any help is appreciated.

thanks. smile

GMC used different engines than Chevy in trucks built inthe states, and the same Chevy engines in Canadian trucks. I'll cover the US built GMC Truck Engines.

1960-1966 GMC standard engine was a 305cid V6 1960-61 was the 305A, 1962 the 305D and 1963-1966 the 305E. in 1966 the 351E V6 was offered as an option. 1964-65 the Chevy 230 inline six was also an option. in 1966 it was the 250 inline six.

Want more info on GMC Engines? see my website, 6066 GMC Trucks .
