I need help to determine what the door window sash looks like-- the piece that holds the glass. A previous request suggested I go to Vintage Chevrolet club of America. One response from 36 High cab owner and we determined that the doors are narrower for the high cab. But, no help in determing what the piece looks like. I only have the sash channel from one door and it has been modified by attaching an "L" brace to one end--the other end has the original "triangular piece of sheet metal." I would like to know if both ends are suppose to have this triangular piece. I have not had any luck with suppliers or ebay yet. Suggestions or advice would be apreciated.

I thought the low cab was the same as the '37 -'38 cabs, could you find a old '37 door and rob parts from it?

I may have to look for different year model. As I continue to look and talk I hope I find the solution. If there is a 36 owner, a picture would help. I may just fabricate the triangular end pieces since I have two channels/lower sash that could be shortened real easy. Thanks for your comment.

My 36 has been set aside for a while so I can finish my son's 66 but I seem to remember that both ends of the channel might have the triangle piece on it. I'll try to get out to the garage in the next couple of days and have a look. Might take me that long to find where I've got the windows stashed. Too many projects on the go.I'll take some photos when I find it.

I know that the 36 low cab windshield is slightly different from the 37-38. You might want to determine if the side glasses are the same or not for sure before you get too far along.

I found the window today, now I just need to find my camera. It does have the "triangle" piece at both ends. Looks like they are used to guide the glass up and down in the channnel.

Dave, Thanks for your troubles and assistance. I do have one end. A picture will help especially when I talk to suppliers. I have had no luck with them to date. I am thinking now that I might fabricate the end pieces since I do have pieces of channel. Would like to roll up my windows come winter time. Would also be interested in talking with you about your 4x4 plans for your 36. I have just completed work on an S10 4x4 frame to put my body on. Thanks. Hudson Email [email protected]

Hudson, sorry man got sidetracked. My doors are on the garage wall 10' feet up. I'll climb up there and get 'em down this week and see if I have an extra rail.
