For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jun 2006 Posts: 18 Apprentice | | Apprentice Joined: Jun 2006 Posts: 18 | The casting code is B57848850. Motor is in a 1959 Chevy Apache truck. I pulled that number on the passenger side in front of the distributor. I have searched the net to match the code but cant find a match. Its a straight six.
Any help would be great!! | | | | | Joined: Nov 2002 Posts: 1,002 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Nov 2002 Posts: 1,002 | Did you get a good read on the numbers?
My casting guide says the number should be seven digits between 37701488 and 3836848. I'm not that familiar with 235s, so maybe theres is another number and someone will chime in.
