However, before I go that route. Is it possible for a speedometer not to work but have the odometer function fine? Thats my situation. The odometer continues to clock miles all while the speedo sits at zero. Does this sound more like an instrument issue versus cable?

I agree with the other 2 questions.

We used a drill and had to run it forward past 9999 miles to 8 miles. Just thought I'd add this to the discussion...
