I am thinking about using a Heidt, but not sure what the ride height will look like. Does anybody have any pictures they would share with a Heidt Mustang II installed. Maby sombody knows of a better setup. I do not want to slam the front end. Email stexasboy @Yahoo.com

Welcome to the Stovebolt! You've come to a friendly spot with lots of expertise.
Going to IFS CAN change your ride's front end, but the final look is up to you. You're right that most IFS set-ups, whether bolt-on or grafted clips, will bring the front end down. The stock '47-54's use the straight axle and ride high with a feel for every bump. The conversion to IFS brings a lower profile, but you can offset that change with block, spindle and spring combinations that approach a stock profile.

The 2 inch drop spindles are what you see in most pictures . I dont know how to post pictures yet but i will see if we can . I am running stock spindles with the Heidts 11-inch disc brake conversion kit and Fat Fendered Street Rods Front and Rear Swaybars.
