my 46 2 ton has rust thru at the bottom front of the cab where the fender bolts just ahead of the doors. jim carters list some lower front patch panels but they come inner and outer per side is this the correct part

yep - see my web page for what it looks loke with a set installed. Metalman - whop is out here on occation makes them. You buy direct as well at wheelwright restoration

Most I have seen are rusty in that spot. I didn't buy the repair cowls from J Carters. I don't remember if they were available at that time or I was too cheap! Mine were bad also. I cut out the rust and made a patch and welded in here After a light coat of Bondo it was primed here. It since has been painted in this shot Did you notice there are no fender holes? Will have to drill when I get to that stage. Hope this helps. Good luck and have fun.
