For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Aug 2007 Posts: 1,082 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Aug 2007 Posts: 1,082 | hello. when going from standard drum brakes to power disc front brakes, does the booster mount under the truck where the factory master is ? is it a smaller booster or what ?
also, has anyone done just the discs without the poer booster ? if so, is it a lot better than the front drums, or did you wish you would have gone witht he booster also ?
thanks much... | | | | | Joined: Oct 2004 Posts: 348 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Oct 2004 Posts: 348 | Ratrodking, check out my website and you might get some ideals i make my own bracket and get a 7" dual diaphram booster with the vette style master on ebay try pirate jacks http://resurrectionvintageautoparts.webs.com/ | | | | | Joined: May 2001 Posts: 7,438 Extreme Gabster | | Extreme Gabster Joined: May 2001 Posts: 7,438 | Another question without the year and size of truck. It has been two years since I bought so my memory is not clear but if you will call them they will explain what you need. When talking to them check on the need for a residual valve for the system that keeps fluid from flowing back to the MC. http://www.classicperform.com/Store/1947_59_Trucks/4754BBD.htm

I didn't use the power booster but here's how I mounted the dual cylinder with the CPP bracket and ran the lines. | | | | | Joined: Aug 2007 Posts: 1,082 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Aug 2007 Posts: 1,082 | thanks guys, very good info. i will now research.... | | | | | Joined: Dec 2004 Posts: 58 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Dec 2004 Posts: 58 | I've got an 8" dual under the floor of mine with a ford master.
