hello. when going from standard drum brakes to power disc front brakes, does the booster mount under the truck where the factory master is ? is it a smaller booster or what ?

also, has anyone done just the discs without the poer booster ? if so, is it a lot better than the front drums, or did you wish you would have gone witht he booster also ?

thanks much...

Another question without the year and size of truck. Hard to answer. Is it a 1929 model? Maybe a 1972?

The CPP unit has the proportioning valve built in. No sweat.

CPP has a bunch of choices you can make, disc/disc(mine), disc/drum, and drum/drum. It has been two years since I bought so my memory is not clear but if you will call them they will explain what you need. When talking to them check on the need for a residual valve for the system that keeps fluid from flowing back to the MC.

Ok, the '57 will be like my '56. I didn't use the power booster but here's how I mounted the dual cylinder with the CPP bracket and ran the lines.

I've got an 8" dual under the floor of mine with a ford master. Need to swap that to a corvette style one day.
