The title has a different # on it. Should I or can I possibly have the title changed to actually match the one on the VIN on the cab door jam??
The truck has been restored with a crate 350 and 10 bolt rear end, so I don't know if they used a engine or rear diff # for the new VIN. I'm trying to contact the guy who did the resto.
The truck is from California and when I decoded the VIN it also shows it was built in Cali. | | | | | Joined: May 2006 Posts: 8,351 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: May 2006 Posts: 8,351 | The # on the title is most likely the serial # from the original engine. As to changing it to the body serial number, sheck with your local DOT. Since it no longer has the engine that the # came from, I don't see where there should be any issue with titleing it with the # on the body.
