The name plate on the hood is a little blurry in the pictures but to have that much room for the boxes it would have to be a 3800? That would explain why it sits so tall Woody. That was one of the things that I liked about the looks of our 3600. When I first saw her in the parking lot she stood right up there nice and proud, not all slouched down like those 1/2 tonners the rest of you guys are driving.
That's about the condition that I would like to get mine in, still a few minor dings showing and not a base coat/clear coat paint job. I really like the looks of that truck.

Back to the tool boxes, I really like them, would look great on my 3800 too. I'll have to start looking, is there a brand or tag or any info on them?
Lets see a picture of one open.
Also, what is the aluminum looking box with louvers seen on the right rear corner of the bed?

This forum is for truck talk. | | | | | Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 6,100 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 6,100 | Hy Czechman, Grigg, and guys, the tires are 255/85R16 on F@#d wheels that clear the tie rod ends without modification or spacers, this truck had the non-rebuildable tie rod ends when he got it and no problems, they are as tall or maybe a little taller than the stock 17" wheels/tires. he removed the hub cap clips from the stock wheels and bolted them, with a spacer to the F@#d wheels and the caps fit perfectly, you can just barely see the edges of the dimples to retain the F@#d hubcaps. The small aluminum box on the right rear corner is something he had made up to hold his propane bottle for his camper, I don't seem to have a key to open the tool boxes right now, but as soon as I do I'll take an interior shot of them for you, there were no labels or plates on them, and no little holes indicating that there were some at one point, hope that helps. I wonder what the demand would be, and the price people would be willing to pay for a set, if I were to make several sets, as close to original as possible, radius corners and all?
