I have read with interest the numerous past postings on pinstriping AD trucks - I could use some help on my 38. I have the 1937 blueprint from Jim Carter which is very cool. The paint combination chart from my '29-'50 Master Parts Catalog shows Brewster Green (my color) matched with Gigolo Green Striping (where did they get these names? snicker!). Has anyone ever seen this Gigolo parading down the street? The Dupont number is 2899862. I have not seen any paint chips in my searching around. Any leads out there in stovebolt land?
Also, should the pinstripes on the black wheels be red or something else. Thanks!

I haven't seen any gigolos lately grin but as for the striping on the wheels, the only color of stripe I've seen on black wheels is red. There may have been other colors used on black wheels but I've not seen them if there were. I can send you some pics of the wheels on my 38 coupe if it would help.

Isn't that Gigolo green almost a line green? Somewhere I have seen the color combination but I can't remember where. I used a light tan for my green truck, I just couldn't get myself to add a light green stripe, plus the tan matches the seat and carpet. The blueprint for stripes is pretty cool, I sure would like to see the guys that did that all day long! Joe

Tiny: I would love to see a picture of the stripes on your wheels. My email is skaxu@earthlink.net I assume the red is the same as on the grill stripes and hubcaps?
Joe: I bet you are right about the lime color that would look good. Maybe limes make the gigolos pucker up!

When did I get bucked down to apprentice? Seems like I used to have a different moniker. Guess you got to keep up the gabbing on here.
