I maintained fleets of chevy vans for many years. Check the advance systems make shure they are operating properly. Clean the coil & check for carbon tracks.  They say money can't buy happiness. I wanted an external coil (call me old fashioned) so I went with a '75 setup. It's been working great for me. I just fabricated a bracket for the new coil and installed it in the same spot as the old points coil. | | |
