I am looking for info on what new front spring to get for a s 10 chassis to hold up a 350 sbc. the truck originaly had a 4 cylinder in it, I have gathered up everything else i need, but haven`t been able to come up with what springs to use. any help anyone?? Thanks Mike Bourg

I put a V8 in a S10 that had 4 cylinder spring & it looked just fine, BUT normally they say to use the 2.8 or 4.3 springs. I have a 425 Caddy mtr in mine using 4.3 springs w/o a problem..Joe

You can use springs from a '78-'85 Malibu or Monte Carlo V8. Springs from a 4.3 V6 S10 will work, too, seen plenty of V8 S 10s riding on stock springs without any problems.
Also, to get a better ride (especially if you run drop springs), you can use shocks from the malibu on an S10. They're direct bolt ins, just don't need to use the mounting studs for the lower in the rear.
