Anyway is it a cabover or conventional? I have a really wore out cabover here that may have some usable parts on it. | | | | Joined: Aug 2006 Posts: 98 Wrench Fetcher | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Aug 2006 Posts: 98 | Sorry it took so long to anwer. It doesn't have the 402.Be right honest I forgot what size he said it has.Oh,it a conventional as well. | | | | Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 6,061 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 6,061 | Hy halfpint33, there are two hoses listed for C series trucks with V8 in 69 GM. 3928074 without heavy duty cooling = Napa NBH7367 $14.69 or 3928075 with heavy duty cooling = Napa FF257 $11.49, hope that helps. | | | | Joined: Mar 2007 Posts: 34 New Guy | New Guy Joined: Mar 2007 Posts: 34 | Hello 3B, you are quite the wizard with part numbers. Do you have a crystal ball, or just a really large stack of service manuals. I have been watching this site for over a year, and have seen you chime in time after time with detailed part numbers. That is really impressive.

Yes I do have lots of old factory manuals, and parts books, as well as a good selection of aftermarket parts books as well. Going to your local auto parts store and trying to get the kid with the nose ring to find anything for a vehicle built 30 years or more before he/she was born is VERY FRUSTRATING, if it's not on the confusilator they're helpless, I honestly wonder sometimes if they can read, or if they know what the word catalog means. I phone my parts store with the part numbers I have found for what I'm looking for and I usually get what I want, and my parts store saves and gives me catalogs that are on their way to the dumpster. I will continue to try and help where I can. | | | | Joined: Jul 2004 Posts: 2,946 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: Jul 2004 Posts: 2,946 | It's often a good idea to take the old hose with you to the parts store, if possible. If they can't find a number, sometimes they'll let you look through the hoses, and compare them till you find what you need. On one occasion, I was able to find a longer hose with several bends in it, but the center section of it had just the size and shape I needed. | | | | Joined: Feb 2008 Posts: 1 New Guy | New Guy Joined: Feb 2008 Posts: 1 | Hello, you might want to try Brother's.com.They have the hoses for 19.99 | | | | Joined: Aug 2006 Posts: 98 Wrench Fetcher | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Aug 2006 Posts: 98 | It's often a good idea to take the old hose with you to the parts store, if possible. Sorry it took so long to reply.I did take the hose to local NAPA and they didn't have one.The staff there are all my age(39) or older so I trust them. They have all worked there together for quite sometime.I ended up just cutting off the bad spot on the very end of the hose and it's been holding. Thanks for the part #'s as well 3B.I'll take them with me next time to see if they have one.
