| | | | Joined: Aug 2007 Posts: 121 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Aug 2007 Posts: 121 | i was working on my old girl (53 chevy 3100)gutted the cab i was wondewring how to tell what heater i have there are no stickers on it and some kind of weired valve that has coolant lines going into it but does not connect to the heater box it has a nob on it that has a arrow that says warmer.im am going to post pics on photobucket.com i cant get pics linked to threads i post for some reason. thanks in advance for the help

If your heater is round, it's recirculating. If your heater attached to the kick panel it's the more desirable fresh air type. FRESH AIR HEATER Note that the valve you describe is hard to come by and runs around $200 if you can find one... same for the core.
