I always ask for gift cards so I can go get the tools I want. This year I got Menards gift cards so I can build another building to get the crap out of my shop to make room to work! Might even ad a chicken coop to the back. grin

Father-in-law got me a small sand blaster, and "Santa" brought me a 4" angle grinder. The wife got me a set of 65 plates to register it under when it finally becomes road worthy....needless to say I'm a happy camper!

My wife got me a Black and Decker Simple Start. Not sure how much I'll use it though. It says if I have a dead car battery, just plug it in the cigarette lighter and wait (5) minutes for the Simple Start to charge the dead battery and it should fire up!

It does have a cool light though...

I got a new cherry picker, and a couple of those cheap little tool sets that you always end up either breaking or losing. I think the cherry picker was probably the best though.

I had been talking about wanting a welder for some upcoming projects. Three days ago I came home with a Miller 140 MIG setup. Guess the Mrs. figured I did a good job with her worklist last year. Now I'm just trying to get it dialed in and start sticking stuff together.

Nothing this year, but last year I got a drill doctor, and I have a few hundred sharp drill bits now.

I got the model 750X Drill Doctor and have been grinding away on my bits. It does a good job on bits from 3/32" to 3/4" and will split point them if you want.

Hey Ron, just so you know, last year I left my lights on in my van at work. It was deader than a doornail.
One of the women I work with had that self same B&D car starter. It had been in her trunk for more than 3 months since it was charged. It started the van right up.

I got a late present, better late than never! I got a standing 40lb sandbasting cabinet. Even 2 pairs of vehicle dollies. Now I can move one of the trucks around when it is I the way. Now I can't nag the wife for a while for more tools. My dad had an engine stand and I barrowed another from a friend so I can make a rotisory for the frame to sandbast and paint.

Late report, but my sweetie got me a Jet metal bandsaw, which is sweet. It replaced a Northern Tool 4x6 cheapo that I could never get to cut straight and pretty much irritated me the whole time I had it.

My neighbor bought me a set of dura-block sanding blocks, and my son bought me a DeWalt 7" made-in-China grinder that was too hefty, so we took it back, found a Milwaukee 4.5" on sale for 1/2 off, and he saved 100 bucks!! :-) This is my first Milwaukee and I really like it. Not sure if it beats out the Bosch power tools I have or not, but between Milwaukee, Porter-Cable, and Bosch, I couldn't pick the winner.

All in all, I couldn't complain. If Santa really existed he would have come up with a new 18 volt cordless drill motor to replace my 12 volt DeWalt that has served me faithfully for about 20 years but is getting weaker and weaker.

But as far as tools if I wish big I only would want a bigger shop and a lift, and maybe three nice paint guns and a paint booth, and a sandblaster, and a tubing bender and notcher, and some sheet-metal tools like a beader, brake, shear, notcher, flanger, punch, English wheel, hammers and dollys, and sanders.

That would round things out...
